Halloween is a great time to be a dog in New York City. Everywhere you turn there is some type of dog-oriented activity going on.
And one of the biggest dog Halloween happenings is the Dodo’s Best Dog Day Ever: Halloween Edition.

Last year’s one-day pop-up has been expanded to a month-long experience! It runs from Thursday through Sunday each week. Click here for info about times and to get tickets. It is located on the ground floor of the 25 Kent Street building in Williamsburg.
Best Dog Day Ever: Halloween Edition features pup-first activations that satisfy you and your canine’s every whim. They include a Canine Corn Maze where your dog can follow their nose to get through a simple obstacle course.
The Ultimate Pumpkin Patch, featuring toy pits filled with Halloween plush toys of all sizes.

Dogs can slide, leap or dive into these patches and have their way with the toys — it’s their day!

There’s also a (Trick or) Treat Shoppe, where a 1950’s style malt shoppe meets witches brewery – for dogs, where deliciously scented bubbles fill the air. Let your pup’s nose guide him in choosing the toppings for his very own ice cream sundae (you can have one too.)

Dyson’s Transformation Lab is where genius minds at Dyson created a one-stop-shop of products to solve the biggest problems for pet owners – pet hair, dander and dirt. In our “Mad Scientist” themed lab, attendees can get hands-on experience using Dyson products while their dogs enjoy complimentary makeovers. Expert groomers dressed as “mad scientists” are on hand to get your dogs camera ready to capture the “after” moment with the most social share-worthy photo of your pup.

Target’s Costume Cam: the ultimate Halloween costume cam experience from Target gives your pup the chance to try on doggie costumes galore — that you can find only at Target — and then model the best one in a 180-degree GIF booth to capture every adorable angle.:

What is the best treat a dog can get? A forever home!
The Project Forever Home booth is where attendees can come by for a chance to meet adorable, adoptable dogs who are waiting patiently in the world’s happiest haunted house, complete with a fenced-in backyard, to find their perfect parents!
When I attended the folks from Road Dogs & Rescue were there. I met some truly amazing pups with Spina Bifida. I fell in love instantly with Lila.
