Bloodhound Trumpet is Best in Show
A newcomer to dog competition and the first Bloodhound is this year’s Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show champion.
Bloodhound Trumpet (AKA GCHB CH Flessner’s Toot My Own Horn) took Best in Show at the 146th edition of the storied dog show. What’s so impressive is that the four-year-old only started competing in dog shows in January of this year.

Trumpet comes from winning stock. His grandfather, Tigger, once held the Guinness Book of World Records’ record for longest ears on a dog (Tigger’s right ear was 13.75 inches long; his left was 13.5 inches long.)
The other big champion at Westminster this summer was Bee, the Shetland Sheep Dog. Bee won the Master’s Agility Championship with a time of just over 28 seconds.
And to bring Westminster closer to home, the breeder of Urban Dog friends Bill Hudnut and Thom Graves’s dog Angus won Best of Breed for her Westie, CH Pride N Precious Idol.
