Behind the Scenes: Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Backstage at Westminster
We went to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Monday night and Tuesday afternoon and took a bunch of pictures.
These were all taken in the staging areas. First up, a Dalmatian from the Non-Sporting Group greets an admirer.
The Entlebucher Mountain Dog from the Herding Group takes a break.
The Xoloitzcuintli from the Non-Sporting Group looks a little anxious.
A Great Dane before Best of Breed: his handler is getting all tangled up.
More Pictures After the Jump
The Puli from the Herding Group: if it weren’t sitting up, it’d be hard to tell which end is the front and which is the back.
A Golden Retriever before Best of Breed just stands there and smiles, just like you’d expect from a Golden Retriever.
English Setters before Best of Breed: it looks like a beauty parlor for the breed.
The Chow Chow’s Handler takes a break. Show time is in less than half an hour.
The Shar Pei from the Non-Sporting Group looks a little cramped.
Another Great Dane before Best of Breed rests.
This tired pooch says: “I’m done.”
