Manhattan is the top borough for US Postal Service workers getting bitten by dogs. The USPS reports twelve of its employees were bitten by dogs there in 2024. Ten Postal workers were bitten in Brooklyn; eight were bitten in the Bronx; and six in Staten Island.

My friend Rob Caldwell says that his partner, Shaun, had two Vizslas — Ruby and Lily — while living in a New York City apartment. Rob says they took the dogs for regular runs along the West Side Highway and that they never had any problems with either of them.
