This historic event is the centerpiece of Westminster Week. It starts on Saturday May 6 with Westminster’s Canine Celebration Day featuring the 10th Anniversary of the ever-popular Masters Agility Championship. Lisa Rothstein is a former Madison Avenue creative director and cartoonist whose work has appeared in The New Yorker Magazine, online for various companies and on licensed products. When she is not drawing dogs, she helps companies and innovators tell stories that help them sell their products, and trains them in visual storytelling. Two drawing sessions will be held: 6:15pm and 7:00pm; Program attendees will be welcome to enter the Museum anytime after 6pm, and will have reserved access to seating in the library for the class at their selected, ticketed time. Each month we are highlighting one of the 200 recognized breeds in the American Kennel Club. You’ll learn the history of the breed as well as key characteristics of their anatomy and coat that help them meet the standard.
