Dogs’ Nicknames: “Who’s My Best Maggie Mee Mee?”
Sequel to Urban Dog’s Popular Post About Dog Nicknames
Our first edition of Silly Dog Nicknames was so popular we had to run a sequel!
Without further ado…
Beau
Mandy, the creator of Pawty in a Box, is the mom of Daily Dog logo look-a-like, Beau. Beau also goes by “Mr. Handsome,” “Handsome Pandsome,” and “Mama’s Boy.”
Maggie Mae, Sophie, and Gracie Cookie
Our Facebook friend Amy has some great nicknames for her dogs. The black dog below is Maggie Mae, who also answers to “Magna Doodle,” “Magpie,” and “Maggie Mee Mee.” To her right is Sophie. Sophie also goes by “Sopeepee,” “Sophilious,” “Peppee,” and “Sopha.” Last but not least is Amy’s beloved Gracie Cookie, the Weimaraner below. Gracie goes by “My Buusha,” “Buusha Baby,” and: “My Buusha My Baby,” “My Puppa My Boo,” and of course, “Gracie Girl.”
Nelly
Geremy’s girl is called Nelly. Her nicknames, among many others, include “Noodle,” “Doodle,” and “Doodlebug.”
Edgar Allen Poe, Desmond, and Stinkey Minkey Jinkleson Bullwinkle III
The members of the extended Little clan of New York City have had several dogs. The cutie in the picture on top is Edgar Allen Poe (named for the eponymous street in Manhattan.) He goes by “Poe.” Desmond, the pup rocking the Mad-Eyed Moody look, goes by “Desi.” In the lower left hand corner is Stinkey Minkey Jinkleson Bullwinkle III, “Minkey” for short.
Mollie
Our neighbors in Miami Beach, Eric and Scott, are the owners of Mollie. Or as she’s alternately know: “Molsie,” “Boo Boo,” “Plum Pudding,” “Zee Girl,” “Lollipop,” and “Mollie Moo Moo.”
Gumbo
Gumbo is an UWS and North Beach girl. Her nickname is “Meister.”
Aubrey
Here’s Aubrey, otherwise known as “The Mayor,” “Aubs,” and “Little Man.”
Mateo, Sofia, and Rocco
Curt and Bruce’s dogs are Mateo, Sofia, and Rocco. They also go by “The Monster,” “Baby Girl,” and “Rocco Bender.”
Prudy and Delilah
DC dog-walker extraordinaire Christine has two pups: Prudy and Delilah. They are also known as “Delilah Peach,” “Lilah Leechie Nut,” “Prudy Poo,” and “Tuna Bug.”
