Dog Art Gallery in New York City
The William Secord Gallery is hosting its annual exhibition of nineteenth century dog paintings, timed to coincide with the 143rd edition of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. This exhibition includes paintings depicting dogs from the non-sporting, sporting, terrier, and toy groups.
The gallery will be open for special “Westminster Hours.” You can visit Saturday, February 9 through Wednesday, February 13 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Outside of those hours you need to make an appointment.) The gallery is located in Chelsea at 29 West 15th Street.
Included in the exhibition are paintings by Charles Olivier de Penne, George Earl , Maud Earl, Thomas Earl, John Emms, Edmund H. Osthaus, Alexander Pope, John Martin Tracy, and Arthur Wardle.
This exhibition and sale will continue through March 15, 2019.
